Winegrowers with passion
Just graduated and with a BAC Pro Viticulture / ologienology degree, Jérôme quickly established himself as a champagne operator in 1999. Between 1999 and 2015, Jérôme worked in the family farm, which he took over in 2015, together with his brother Stéphane.
Stéphane graduated with a BAC degree as a pharmacist. Between 2002 and 2010 he worked part-time as a pharmacist and part-time in the family farm. Since 2010 he worked full time in champagne and took over the champagne house in 2015, together with his brother Jérôme.
Founded in 2012, Champagne Mongery is located in Landreville, south of the Champagne region, in the heart of the Côte des Bar. Jérôme and Stéphane Virey are the 7th generation of a winegrowers family.
At Champagne Mongery you will taste characteristic Champagnes with fine bubbles and fruity aromas from the Pinot Noir!
Champagne Mongery cultivates its 8 hectare vineyard in an environmentally friendly manner. As of 2015, pesticides are no longer used and since February 2017 the Champagne House has been certified as Haute Valeur Environnementale (high environmentally friendly value).
The main grape varieties they grow are the Pinot Noir (80%) and the Chardonnay (20%). All phases of the production process are carried out on the domain itself with the assistance of 2 full-time employees.
